VALUES

UniMAC seeks to pursue first-rate activity fueled by the best methods and highest standards that pertain in academia and industry. We set high standards of achievement in a quality educational environment committed to continuous improvement by leveraging technology and innovation. We seek to make our existence as UniMAC the exemplification of all that is exceptional and uniquely excellent in our distinctive fields of endeavour.

We value our personal commitment to honesty and truth that is reflected in each person’s words and deeds, while holding ourselves accountable for our personal and professional responsibilities. We go about our duties and responsibilities with steadfast adherence to strict moral and ethical codes, eschewing all what smacks of corruption and disingenuous behaviour that will bring our individual selves and UniMAC into disrepute.

We work in honesty and openness to preserve the integrity of UniMAC for the benefit of the nation. Despite our disparate histories, we believe in the unity of human relations and of our institutions just as the symbol ““Nkↄnsↄnkↄsↄn” in our logo denotes. While acknowledging the unique histories of our Constituent Institutes, we place value on the unity within the whole and focus on taking advantage of the unique synergies that exist among the Institutes to build a resilient and forward-looking institution that satisfies the need of our 21st Century Ghanaian society. Transparency in Unity remains our strength.

We practice discipline in all areas of our organizational life in a way that enhances our operations. Discipline means we are diligent and intentional in our attempts to do what is right and stay on course in doing what is right through the right way; using the right means. Discipline is both personal and institutional, therefore we play by the rules that govern us and there shall be no attempt to vary the rules and/or find ways around the rules for any spurious reasons. The “Akokↄ nan” in our logo symbolises discipline, and at UniMAC we cherish and live by it.

We believe in the judicious use and management of resources -physical, financial, human and intellectual. UniMAC advocates the prudent utilisation of resources through cost-benefit analysis, budget, and budgetary control systems in line with relevant financial laws, regulations, and international standards. We serve as financial stewards and base decisions on financial planning and projection from both an entrepreneurial and student development perspective. We exercise financial prudence within the context of our mandate as a public institution governed by our ACT, Statutes, and the laws of Ghana.

UniMAC endeavours to make both our university and our programmes relevant to industry. In that quest, we are continuously committed to the innovative ways to develop dynamic talents that suit industry needs. We warmly welcome opportunities to add value to our stakeholders’ business and actively seek collaborative opportunities. We adore working towards common goals with others in the University and the community, while placing value on teamwork, participation, and diversity of ideas and perspectives to aid societal transformation.
