Director of Academic Affairs

Felix Amoako Botah is the Director of Academic Affairs at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC). He has extensive higher education administration experience spanning over seventeen (17) years. Felix was first appointed as the Deputy Registrar of Academic Affairs for the then Ghana Institute of Journalism GIJ) and later the Director of Academic Affairs for UniMAC after the merger of the erstwhile Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL) and the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).

Prior to working in the university setting, he had worked on several education projects and played a significant role in education development in several communities in Ghana. He holds a Master of Philosophy (Administration in Higher Education) degree, a Master of Education (Educational Administration) degree and a Bachelor of Education (Foundations) degree, all from the University of Cape Coast. He is also a licensed member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC) – Ghana. His research interests encompass higher education, student development, educational policy, academic restructuring and school leadership.

Mr. Botah has served and continues to serve on several university committees (as Secretary and/or Member), including the Academic Board, Finance Committee, Administrative Appointments and Promotions Committee, and Academic Planning and Review Committee.
